PICK-UP 1.4 SALT menu for telix by Mark Harrison Registration $ 10.00
SDN_COMM DEC93 PICKUP PICK-UP TELIX SCRIPT
FILES: pickup14.sdn
PICK-UP is a utility program, written completely in SALT,
designed to enhance your time spent using Telix. PICK-UP
accomplishes this task with a full featured menu which
anticipates your needs. The options offered allow you to
stay within the Telix environment minimizing the need to
shell out to DOS. As a result, your Telix sessions will be
more productive saving you keystrokes, time and money.
Using PICK-UP you can:
* Perform the most commonly used DOS commands
* Write, edit and print text/script files
* Run and/or Compile SALT/SIMPLE scripts
* Set a "timer" to run a script at a specified time
* Upload files and messages
* Load or change to a different Dialing directory
* Set a timed delay to start screen saver
PICK-UP is configurable, meaning you can set it up to match
your particular needs. You determine how you want PICK-UP
to work for you and save the setup for future sessions.
PICK-UP offers three modes to work in:
* REGULAR - for all files
* SCRIPT - for SALT (.SLT .SLC) and SIMPLE (.SIM) files
* MESSAGE - for .MSG files
REGULAR mode is useful for performing general housekeeping
functions, helping you keep your files in order. This mode
is also used for uploading files.
SCRIPT mode makes the job of writing, compiling and running
SALT/SIMPLE scripts a breeze. In SCRIPT mode you can quickly
jump out of your editor, compile the script, run the script
and return to the editor to make changes or continue coding.
MESSAGE mode is for writing and sending messages. PICK-UP
makes it easy to write your messages offline and then
upload them quickly when you are online saving you connect
time on the BBS and possibly long distance charges.
